A blessing for your damaged hair

So, for my first post I am going to share with you one of the hair saviors that I use. If like me you have dyed, bleached or caused any other significant damage to your hair and your on the journey back to au naturel again then Shea Moisture's Raw Shea Butter Deep Treatment Mask could be your new best friend.

The three main ingredients in this mask are sea kelp, argan oil and shea butter, all of which your thirsty hair will loooove! Most of you will already know how amazing both argan oil and shea buter are but I didn't know much about sea kelp. Being rich in minerals, this is great nutrition for your hair and helps to seal and smooth the cuticle meaning your hair will be feeling softer and looking in better condition.

The mask itself is verrryyy thick and it smells nice, but not on an Aussie level... But the main thing is, it does the trick. To use all you have to do is section clean wet hair and apply evenly from roots to end, leave on for 5 mins and wash off. Its as simple as that! However, if your hair is properly fried (like mine) apply in the same way but this time cover your hair with a plastic cap and apply some heat. You can do this for up to 30 mins. The heat will help all the goodness to penetrate deep into your hair. If you choose to do it like me make sure you wash your hair properly afterwards otherwise you will be left with ridiculously greasy hair, I made this mistake first!

I definitely felt a difference after using this mask, my hair was softer. I like that the mask is quite natural and cuts out a lot of harsh chemicals benefiting from no sulphates, parabens, synthetic colour and more. This Deep Treatment Mask retails at £12.99 at Boots. Some people might find this a bit pricey but for my damaged hair its worth it and because the product itself is sooo thick a little goes a long way! If you are looking for a savior for your over-processed, damaged hair then give this mask a go.
