Let it glow

As we all know Christmas is soon approaching and I thought to try and get in the spirit I would go and get some lovely festive candles for my bedroom. To be honest personally I'm not the biggest lover of Christmas. Not quite on a grinch level but I think it's a lot of stress and hassle all for one day, but I do like all the cosy and wintery things (basically any excuse to buy more things and I loooove candles). So here's what I got anyway.

Firstly the Yankee Candle mini gift set. Inside the box there are these 3 candles; 'holiday magic' 'christmas morning' and 'sunlight on snow'. Holiday magic is a very warm, cinnamony scent however christmas morning and sunlight on snow are both very crisp and fresh. These three will definitely get you in the festive mood. This set would also make a good little present or secret santa as it all comes in a little git box, it's all very cute, also it's only £3!

Obviously everyone knows how great Yankee is but I also picked up two products from Wax Lyrical; a small tin candle and a fragranced reed diffuser both in the scent 'Santa Claus is on his way' and they smell aaamazing. I'm thinking how to explain... Very warm and fruity. I'm not sure if that makes sense to anyone other than myself, but it is a sweet smell which is not overly-powerful and still enjoyable for people who want a slight festive feel without cracking out the old 'mulled wine' or 'frankincense and myrrh'. For the price of £3 for the tin and £4 for the diffuser you really can't go wrong.

And my favorite of them all, Yankee Candle in candy cane forest. This smells like heaven to me. A little bit minty but more sweet than anything. As soon as I smelt it I fell in love. Priced at £9 it's definitely worth it because it comes in a nice jar and will burn for a long time as it's a good sized candle, great value for money.

  1. They all sound lovely, but I particularly like the description of the Wax Lyrical candle, Santa Claus - it sounds very Christmassy. Such good value too, I might just have to get all of them! Thank you for the interesting blog.
