Life is Beautiful!

Good morning lovely people who take their time to read my blog! Today I am writing about something different- not makeup, but perfume. However not ANY perfume, no no. It just so happens that I have bought the best one ever?! I am talking about LancĂ´me La Vie Est Belle. English please? 'Life is Beautiful', hence the title!
Starting off with the scent- it is like nothing I have smelt before. It is definitely sweet, but not in a tacky or fruity way, it's actually quite floral. Some people compare it to the ever so popular Viktor & Rolf 'Flower Bomb', but personally I don't think so. Just putting my opinion out there, but I actually really don't like Flower Bomb at all, I don't know what all the hype is about, to me it just smells like a sugary hot mess. I know they are quite similar because of their patchouli sweetness, but La Vie Est Belle is totally more wearable and a lot classier.

The main thing I love about this perfume is the staying power. Literally all you need is a few sprays in the morning and this stuff will stay on all day- well that's the case for me anyway. As everyone probably knows different scents stay better on different skins, but this one is generally quite strong and lingers on the skin for a long time. Also the bottle is lovely and as is the packaging. It's all kept very feminine, just like the perfume itself. As if the smell isn't great enough, it will also look great on your dressing table too!
One thing that might put people off would be the price. I got the 100ml bottle which costs £84.00. To a lot of people this would be quite expensive, especially people my age, but I'm working and I decided to treat myself. I think it is all good and well having any old perfume for the day/work, but it is nice to have at least one higher end perfume for going out and special occasions. I have wanted this one for a long time, and when I saw the price was £10 cheaper (£74.00) and an extra 10% off perfume in Boots, to me it was a no brainer- of course I had to buy it. I got a great deal, but besides that, I still think it is worth the full price, and I still would happily pay £84.00 for it!
All in all I think it is an extremely classy perfume. I know a lot might not agree because it's so sweet, but to me it's classy in a more modern and youthful way. It's funny because as I was writing this post I thought this is a bit awkward telling you about a perfume you couldn't smell, but you need to go an test it for yourself! I'm serious, if you ever pass this one at Boots, HOF, Debenhams or any other department store please don't walk past it, I'm sure most of you will love it!

  1. Very well written Tori... pictures are great too! I don't usually like your fragrance choices but this one you have got me hooked. I love it, it's lush!! I love your blog it's fab..keep on posting!! X
