I heart Makeup Revolution

Hello, today's post is about a brand that I absolutely love- Makeup Revolution! I haven't bought anything from here in such a long time, so when I was shopping online I decided to get a few things and I thought I would share them with you as I am really impressed!

Starting off with the I  Makeup's Lip Lava.
First of all I Makeup is a sister brand of Makeup Revolution just for anyone who didn't know... Anyway Lip Lava's are melted lipsticks in tube form, which are meant to look like a "gloss" but have the pigmentation of a lipstick. They are a dupe for the Too Faced 'Melted' lipsticks. They come in 5 shades (top to bottom in pics); Firestorm which is a deep red, Shockwave a very bright purple, Tremor a muted pink, Forgiven a nude shade and Unleash which is a bright coral/orange.

These are amazing! What I like is that they are long lasting, but because of their texture they are also very moisturising and they don't dry your lips. On their website it does say these are glosses but I would say they are more of a satin finish. They are very creamy and look smooth on the lips. I am very impressed with them and I definitely think they are worth the amazing price of £2.99 each!
The other things I got are for the face. Starting with the 'Iconic Pro Blush, Bronze & Brighten' kit in Golden Hot. This a lovely mini face palette which is great for on the go. As you can see from the photos above there is a bronzer, highlighter and a blusher. The formula of each powder is really nice as it is baked so it just glides on without looking cakey or powdery (something you might expect from a cheaper brand) They also have a little shimmer which is lovely for the summer. The powders are all pretty pigmented so especially when applying the bronzer and blush use a light hand as a little goes along way. There are 4 colour variations of this kit, as I said this one is called 'Golden Hot' which works for medium warm skin tones, the others are called; Flush, Rave and Smoulder. I am very happy with this kit, it does exactly what the name says and great quality for a £4 price!

Lastly I got 2 more blushes which are just the normal powder blushes in 'Now' which is quite a neutral pink shade and 'Love' which is a slightly warmer, soft rose shade. I was a bit surprised when I received these, I thought they were the wrong item, but it's just the packaging that has changed! To me it looks like the pans are smaller, but oh well, can you really complain for £1?! These blushes aren't as good quality as the blush in the 'Iconic Pro Blush, Bronze & Brighten' kit above, but they are still nice in their own way. They give a flush of colour without any shimmer or gleam, I think they look quite natural and are decently pigmented so you don't need a lot. The only reason I don't prefer these to the other blushes is that the formula is quite powdery- actually very powdery! As soon as you put the brush in there's powder everywhere, but if that's fine with you then I'm sure this a good quality, affordable blush!

All in all I love this brand and I will defo carry on and buy their products. They are affordable and good quality items and I think Makeup Revolution is slowly becoming one of my favorite brands!
